Dante degli Alighieri’s Florence in Dan Brown’s Shoes.
Discover the alluring enigmas behind the major box office success
Inferno, the first part of Dante’s Divine Comedy, describes the Nine Circles of Hell and this was the inspiration for Dan Brown’s thriller Inferno. On this unique tour, you’ll have a chance to visit the fantastic and intriguing sites of Florence that featured in Brown’s book and, later, in the film of the same name.
Tread in Robert Langdon’s shoes as you follow his journey around the mysterious and historic streets of Florence, searching for clues and hidden gems along the may. Your own “Virgilio” tour guide will act as your guiding light throughout the tour, letting you in on Florence’s deepest, darkest secrets.
The tour will commence at Palazzo Vecchio, after which we’ll indulge in what the locals believe to be the best cappuccino in town. We will continue following Langdon’s footsteps to visit the medieval home of Durante degli Alighieri, or Dante, as he is now known. Here, we will have an unrivaled opportunity to get a glimpse of Dante’s death mask and some of the original ancient scripts from his Divina Comedia.
This is a compelling tour that uncovers secret after secret; it will be sure to fundamentally transform how you view the beautiful city of Florence.
We will end the tour at the Baptistery and Church, and you will have an opportunity to visit the Dome and the Tower Bell of Florence independently at the end of the day.
